Dave is the man -  with his five-string bass strapped on he starts to pump rhythm and thunder, it's obvious he isn't playing any games.

Dave plays with a mixture of right-hand techniques, each appropriate to the particular song in question - e.g., finger-popping, smooth round notes for a nice bottom end.

However, when the band starts to get down, he locks into the drummers groove, and his left thumb begins to hammer out a riff so intense, he gives new meaning to the term 'smokin'.

Be prepared.  Even if Dave's bass doesn't burst into flames, for sure he'll set you on fire....
