I WANT YOU |
....Is one of my favorites off the album because it relays the intensity of the passion I had when writing it. It also reflected the confidence, fire and yet gentleness I have within when giving love, joy and enrichment to that special someone.....yes I had someone in mind when I was writing this! |
|
This was written for that person who was so afraid to fall in love or partake in it that they may get bit by the bug and have no antidote or cure..........and I was gettin tired of waiting. | |

LOVE ME LOVE ME NOT |
This song was composed for those of us who
got tired of playing games and felt like fools with the cat and mouse. I
picked the title phrase and chorus from an old childhood game we'd play
as kids. We get daisies or other multi-petal flowers an pick them off
chanting,"she loves me she loves me not" over and over again till the last
petal was gone hoping it was "she loves me".

BAD BOY |
I was in a club doing a gig one night and noticed how just one seductive look can lure you from your goodie two shoes naivity. I thought it was comical watching people seductively break you down with, "the look". I noticed even within myself how easily the "monster of lust" can rear his head. So I told a story about it. |

HOLD ONTO THIS LOVE |
During the composing and lyrical structure of this song I have to admit in all honestly, I was in the mood to make love again and again and again with someone who was at the same place. This song was a direct result of hormones to the heart to the lips to the fingertips channeled through the keyboard ....'nuff said! |

TO KEEP YOUR LOVE AROUND |
This was the epitome and height of my love
for romanticism of a woman. I was feeling as if I could almost reach up and
pick a star from the heavens if asked. It's funny when you're heavily saturated
with love or infatuated how powerful and adventurous you become. Through
the writing of this song I realized my fantasy.

UNTIL I HEAR SOME BLUES |
This was simple enough. My bassman (Dave) started laying down this blues lick in my livingroom and I just jumped all over it with the organ, the melody and hook and then the lyrics. I wanted something a little different than traditional blues and just made the statement when I'm down and can't function or think. Try playing some blues you can use, so I penned, "I don't think straight until I hear some blues". |
